Jessica Schultz

Partner, Stockholm

Jessica joined Northzone in 2014 and is now a Partner based in the Stockholm office. With a deep operational background and an eye for intuitive user experiences, her focus primarily spans product-led platforms and UX-driven SaaS.

Jessica has invested in companies like Klarna (Europe’s fintech leader), Einride (autonomous, electric transportation), Flink (instant grocery delivery), Red Points (AI brand protection platform), Reonic (operating system for renewable energy installers) and Filed (AI tax preparation platform) reflecting her long-standing belief in businesses that disrupt traditional industries through technology and user-centric innovation. She thrives on partnering early with founders, helping them navigate everything from hiring their first key team members to scaling across continents.

Before joining Northzone, Jessica co-founded and was Global CMO of HelloFresh, where she helped take the company from an idea to IPO. Prior to that, she worked in strategy consulting at L.E.K. Consulting across London and Los Angeles. Her hands-on operator experience continues to influence her founder-first approach to venture. Jessica holds an MSc, Economics & Business from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Both Sides of the Table

You learn a lot about venture thinking when you’ve sat on the other side of the table. During my time at HelloFresh, raising capital while building at breakneck speed taught me one thing above all: keep moving. Fast. Vision without momentum is just theory, and when it feels like you’re in control, you’re probably not moving fast enough.

Now, as an investor, I bring that same urgency, but tempered with patience. Venture is a long game, built on trust, consistency, and conviction over time. The best partnerships don’t just happen in a single pitch; they’re built in the trenches, over time, through shared resilience and real belief.

On Product-Led Growth (Still a Marketing Geek at Heart)

I’ll always be a marketer at heart, but what excites me most today is where marketing meets product. The best growth stories aren’t just driven by ad spend; they’re baked into the product itself. From onboarding flows to usage loops and community activation, PLG is where distribution, UX, and data come together.

I still love a good debate about channel mix or LTV assumptions, but increasingly I’m drawn to how teams build for pull, not just push. Today’s growth leaders need to master both storytelling and systems thinking, with the product doing much of the heavy lifting. It’s complex, iterative, and constantly evolving. That’s exactly what makes it so fun.

Green Smoothies and Glitter Glue

When I’m not working with founders or obsessing over product flows, you’ll likely find me doing something wellness-related — I’m a trained holistic health coach and love exploring the science (and joy) of feeling good. I’m also a proud mother of three small humans, which means life is rarely quiet and never boring. The mix of green smoothies and glitter glue keeps me on my toes — and has taught me a lot about patience, presence, and prioritizing what really matters.
