Deepka joined Northzone in 2019 and is a Principal, based in London. She is particularly interested in the Future of Work, vertical SaaS and product-led companies across early-stage and growth.
Previously, Deepka was an investor at Heartcore Capital, and started her career in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she advised clients in the Tech and Media sector. Deepka grew up in Germany and the UK and graduated with a degree in Physics from Imperial College London.
At school I was a classic book-smart nerd, which made for a tough time on the playground. But I stuck it out and ultimately found my people at university. The upside? Thick skin and an appreciation for those who don’t fit in.
As one of the first in my family to graduate from university and have a ‘white-collar’ job, I’m used to navigating through unfamiliar territory. It’s not something I dwell on, but it is something I’ve felt self-conscious about. I’m grateful for the opportunities and support I’ve had along the way.
