Based in Stockholm, Anna is responsible for Northzone’s sustainability strategy that spans from the sourcing and investment phase to portfolio development and support, from ESG to impact. She places great emphasis on leveraging Northzone’s international reach to find solutions that can scale at speed.
Anna brings over fifteen years of global sustainability experience. She started her career in impact consulting, later headed sustainable transformation at investment firm Axel Johnson Inc. as Sustainability Director and led one of the first Sustainable Business Leadership Programs together with the World Economic Forum. Anna is an experienced entrepreneur having founded her first business at 28 years old and her second together with the Wallenberg Foundations in 2020.
I love diving, it’s my most profound personal connection to why I work in sustainability. Anyone who has ever experienced the magic of the underwater world will want to do everything to preserve it.
I was early influenced by brilliant architect Will McDonough. His way of framing sustainability and “doing less bad” as uninspiring and rather looking at the design potential of humans to create a beneficial footprint inspired my value-focused approach from the start.
