Amanda is the Executive and Office Assistant in Northzone’s New York office. She joined the team in 2024, to provide support to team members across different global offices.
Amanda has a bachelor’s degree in theatre from American University in Washington, DC and a master’s degree in theatre from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
I have two degrees in theatre and spent over a decade as an actor in New York. Separating my identity from my acting career, my skillset from the theatre world and deciding what to do next was a challenge I’m proud of. Pivoting careers isn’t easy but I’m excited for this next adventure!
I’m happiest when travelling, I’m so curious about what the rest of the world is doing, wearing, and most importantly, eating. I love eating out with friends, seeing theatre, planning upcoming trips, and learning to salsa-dance.
I’ve also always loved organisation and tidiness, I even worked as a home organiser, where I cleaned out a LOT of closets!
Metropolis by Ben Wilson: a history of cities, which he refers to as humanity’s greatest invention
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles: recently made into a mini-series but I highly recommend the book
Anything by Silvia Moreno-Garcia: I recently read Silver Nitrate, a fiction about the occult in the horror-film industry – deliciously spooky!
