Forbes announced its second ever European Midas List. We are delighted that Northzone Partner Pär-Jörgen Pärson features at number 2.
Forbes commented on PJ’s ranking: “In 2018, Pär-Jörgen Pärson had not one, but two exits that could make a venture capital career. In April, music streaming service Spotify debuted on the New York Stock Exchange in an unusual direct listing; while it was trading off its highs by November, the company was still trading at a market cap around $25 billion. Not bad for Pärson, who was its first external investor, returning more than $1 billion to his fund, and its longest-serving board member at the time he stepped back in 2017. But Pärson wasn’t done. In May, Swedish fintech company iZettle sold to PayPal for $2.2 billion; Pärson had invested in 2012 and was a board director. More recent investments include FuboTV, an over-the-top media startup, savings app Qapital and a Spotify for business, SoundtrackYourBrand.”
