I recently did an interview with Nordic Startup Bits on the importance of government and industry support in nurturing tech ecosystems, and what Denmark could learn from its neighbours.
Taking Sweden as an example, on the political side, there is promotion at the top industry events, but also a willingness to look at tax policy and incentives to make the country more attractive for entrepreneurs. The active involvement of the earlier generation of start-up successes also plays a really important part in the development of the ecosystem.
“The startup ecosystem in Stockholm will have the backing of both local politicians and large companies – and this is among the reasons why Stockholm’s startups are ahead of their Danish counterparts.” Read the article in full on Nordic StartUp Bits.
