Northzone is expanding

Building on almost two decades of success in the Nordic markets, and more recently through our offices in New York and London, we are proud to announce that Northzone is growing.

With our aim of meeting the best entrepreneurs across global innovation hubs, we’re pleased to welcome two new hires to Northzone’s London office. Gareth Jefferies joins as Associate from OC&C Strategy Consultants, and will focus on all UK and London-based investments. Sofia Lundvall joins from the Mayor of London’s promotional company London & Partners, as Head of Marketing and Communications. She will spearhead the community development for our outstanding portfolio companies, and lead Northzone’s marketing and PR efforts.

As investors we always look for companies with brilliant teams, so it’s great to be able to recognise the contributions of our Northzone teammates. Which is why we are delighted to announce that Jessica Nilsson, Marta Sjögren and Tim He have been promoted to Principals.

Digital natives with a global mind-set and broad experience that includes founding and scaling cutting-edge companies, it comes as no surprise that they have made a big impact in the short time they’ve been with us as Investment Managers. In less than three years, or as in Jessica’s case, one year, they have been pivotal in building partnerships with fantastic companies, including Fishbrain, Outfittery, Fyndiq, Sqore and Behaviosec. They have also lead the charge on getting the Northzone name out to the tech communities in the Nordics and beyond.

We are excited about the opportunities we’re seeing in Europe and the US. With our new team structure and relentless efforts in delivering value to our entrepreneurs, we believe that Northzone is ideally placed to continue to support the growth of new, game-changing companies.
