Christopher joined Northzone in 2016. His area of interest are marketplaces and businesses with a strong mobile proposition, and he works with companies like LEMONCAT.
Before joining Northzone, Christopher co-founded Uncover, the award-winning app enabling London diners to discover and book the city’s most desirable restaurants. Building the company was a lesson in doing things fast, and with focus. After having acquired hundreds of thousand users and generated millions in revenues for their restaurants, the team exited to Velocity.
“It was an invaluable lesson in company building: we had successes, failures, raised funding, and exited, all in a short space of time,” remembers Christopher.
Before becoming a full-time Londoner, Christopher worked in banking at the Deutsche Bank and Sal. Oppenheim in Germany. There, he developed a love for numbers and saw first-hand the effects of the economic cycles.
“When the 2008 financial crisis hit, we were acquired by Deutsche Bank, and I spent some intense months working on the turnaround with our new CEO.”
In his spare time, Christopher is a keen kite surfer, although a London lifestyle means opportunities to get on his board are not as frequent as he’d like.
Christopher holds an MBA from the London Business School and a Diplom-Kaufmann from the EBS, Wiesbaden.
