CornerJob raises $19m round
The new round brings the total funding raised to date by the company to $54 million.
CornerJob, the leading blue-collar recruiting platform founded by Miguel Vicente, Gerard Olivé, David Rodríguez, and Mauro Maltagliati, has received new investment of $19 million, following the $25 series B-round announced in July 2016, bringing its total funding to $54 million. Investors participating in this round include Northzone, Randstad Innovation Fund, e.ventures, Samaipata Ventures, Caixa Capital Risc, Sabadell Venture Capital, Mediaset Italia, Mediaset España, TF1, 5M Ventures, Media Digital Ventures, Augesco Ventures and Azteca.
The new funding enables CornerJob to further develop its services to streamline the recruitment value chain. The company has recently launched a partnership in France with world-leading HR company Randstad, to allow small and medium-sized companies to manage the entire hiring process on mobile; from job advert to payslip.
CornerJob is already a market leader within its markets of France, Italy, Spain and Mexico, reaching 7 million downloads and more than 500,000 job listings by nearly 150,000 companies since launch. CornerJob is also gearing up to expand to new markets, and is currently evaluating media-for-equity agreements with leading media partners in Europe and in the US.
David Rodríguez, CEO and co-founder of CornerJob, explains this new round comes as a recognition from investors of results to date, and continued commitment to accelerate Cornerjob’s growth: “What we’ve accomplished in our four existing markets in Europe and Mexico, allows us to strengthen our position as a strategic partner to companies with hiring needs, accelerating and simplifying the recruitment processes for lightly skilled positions and flexible jobs.
